Research and development

The spectrum of our in-house developments ranges from single-sided to double-sided highly absorbent to transparent, sound-reflecting versions

Decades of research and development work have made Bongard & Lind one of the market leaders in the field of external noise protection. The quality of our products is our top priority.  In addition to regular internal quality controls, we also have our products and solutions certified by independent institutes. The result is high-tech noise protection systems that offer first-class sound insulation.

In order to minimise quality-related risks from the outset, we apply demanding quality standards right from the research and development stage, as well as when selecting suppliers.

Test bench

As part of our research and development, we test our systems on our in-house test stand in Nentershausen. We carry out the tests in co-operation with and under the strict control of certified institutions as partners.

ABSORBENT SYSTEMS

Noise barriers for road and rail traffic are made of aluminium and meet all requirements in accordance with ZTV-LSW 06, as well as EN 1793 1-3 and EN 1794 1-2, ZTV-ING, EN 1090-2/3 and DB RIL 804.5501: v= 300 km/h. The element close to the ground is usually made of concrete. With an airborne sound insulation DLR = 25 dB, our noise barriers are classified in the highest category B 3 according to Table A1 EN 1793 2. The airborne sound absorption DLa = 12 dB; the elements are therefore categorised in absorber group A 4 (highly absorbent).
